The Big Apple Circus is a one of a kind circus located at National Harbor February 14 through March 24. If you missed it, don't worry they have more shows that you can find on their website. Animal Rescue
There are no wild or exotic animals found under this big top. The only animals featured are adorable rescue dogs that you can find running and jumping around and their beautiful horses and ponies that take the stage ready to make everyone smile. All of the wonderful animals that you will see are loved and cared for by their certified animal trainer, Jenny Vidbel. She has been rescuing dogs and horses giving them a loving home and training some for these amazing circus acts. When they aren’t performing, they live with Jenny on her ranch in upstate New York.
A Family To Everyone
The Big Apple Circus gets even more amazing with their Circus of the Senses. They enhanced their version of the circus providing audience members who are Blind, Deaf, or have vision, hearing, or cognitive challenges with their own exciting performance. They offer Infrared Audio Descriptive Headsets, ASL Interpreters, Braille and Large Print Programs, both a pre-show interactive touch experience for everyone and post show touch session for blind and low vision individuals to bring the magic of the circus to life!
