Super Sweet Melon Crafts
When I think of summer there is so many things that pop into my head but, one of them is watermelon! There are many activities you can do with watermeon that involve hands-on learning, sensory, crafts, and fun. It even taste and smells great! I’m sharing some of many of the creative ways you can start playing and learning with watermelon.

Watermelon Moon Sand

Materials Needed:
4 cups of playsand
2 cups of corn starch
1/2 to 1 cup of water
1 packet of watermelon kool-aid
Container
Spoon
How To Make:
Combine the sand, kool-aid, and corn starch in a container
Mix well
Slowly add water and mix
Keep adding and mixing until the desired consistency is reached
If you add to much water just add more dry ingredients
Enjoy your moldable watermelon moon sand!
Watermelon Flower Pot

Materials Needed:
Red, green, and black paint
Flower pot
Paint brush
Mod Podge
How To Make:
Paint the top edge of the pot green
Paint the bottom half of the pot red
Use a thin paint brush to paint small black seeds on the red
If you want you can add any unique designs you'd like
Add a layer of mod podge to keep it safe from the weather
Enjoy your new flower pot and start growing some seeds!
Watermelon Fan

Materials Needed:
Scissors
Paint
Paint brushes
Jumbo popsical stick
Glue (I used Loctite super glue)
How To Make:
1. Cut your paper plate into the shape you want your fan
2. Paint the top green
3. Let it dry then paint the bottom pink or red
4. Let is dry and paint inbetween both color white
5. Add black seeds and your name
6. Paint the popsical stick green
7. glue the popsical stick to the back of your fan
8. Let it dry
9. Enjoy and stay cool!
